Since we were established in 1888, Rayners have been using traditional methods to manufacture high-quality garden buildings. Based in Godalming, we supply and fit garden buildings to locations in the south of England including local towns like Farnham, Guildford and Woking.<\/p>

We manufacture a wide range of hand-crafted summerhouses in both cedarwood and European redwood for customers who generally live in Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and the south of England.<\/p>

Our standard range of summerhouses includes square, rectangular and shaped designs, and we specialise in the design and manufacture of buildings individually-made to our customers’ specific requirements. Bespoke summerhouses can be manufactured in numerous shapes and sizes to complement a particular garden or location.<\/p>

All of our garden buildings can be fully lined, insulated and double glazed, so that they can be used throughout the year.<\/p>

In addition to our standard range of summerhouses and bespoke summerhouses, we can also manufacture home offices, studios and playrooms to provide valuable extra space in the garden.<\/p>

Our summerhouses are clad with shiplap boarding in either cedarwood or European redwood which is specially machined to our own profile.<\/p>

Waney edged oak cladding is also available to provide a more rustic finish. The summerhouses are either hand treated with wood preservatives or hand painted in a colour of your choice.<\/p>

Our summerhouse roofs are fully boarded on heavy-duty timber purlins or rafters with timber trusses where necessary. The summerhouse roofs can be covered with high-performance mineral surfaced felt or felt tiles, which are available in a choice of colours.<\/p>

At Rayners, we also manufacture summerhouses with pre-treated cedar shingle roofs. Where possible, cedar shingle roofs are prefabricated in our workshop, with each cedar shingle individually cut and nailed by hand. Also, we manufacture bespoke garden buildings and summerhouses finished with clay tiles or slates.<\/p>

Our summerhouses can be glazed with handmade leaded light windows, clear toughened glass or clear glass double glazed sealed units.<\/p>

We can also undertake any ground preparation and base work that maybe required. Depending on site conditions and the size and design of our garden buildings and summerhouses, it may be necessary to lay a concrete base or similar hard standing on which to erect the buildings.<\/p>
